Placing value on resources around you will propel your success

I know the one thing that we all have in common. I mean the very thing that without it we might as well be just existing. Guess what that is? Somebody once said, “some people are only alive because air is free.”

Is that you? Tell you what, I also know of some who are just not dying but in a truer sense of the word they’re not living. They live purposeless. But now what is this one thing that makes us human?

Is it working to secure enough food and social security? Is it becoming socio-culturally recognized? Is it becoming one of the heroes? Or is it the desire to succeed at anything?

If it is an established fact that we all desire to succeed, why aren’t we all succeeding? The reason isn’t what most are liable to thinking. It is simple as not valuing success. We desire to succeed but don’t have enough value placed on why we should succeed.

For instance, you and I have in our minds the most amazing world-class inventions, aspirations, innovations etc. but we don’t know why we must have them.

The one lethal killer of success is simply not valuing success. The value will bring perspective into your life. Most of the times we focus more on the reasons why we can’t succeed.

You know so many people, disturbing political situations, and everything else that makes it an impossibility for you to succeed. I mean that list is terrifying, yet very little or no time is ever taken to consider the things we do have that can help us become a success we so crave.

Let’s look into why VALUE given to something determines failure or success:

  1. Value helps you to see if success in one area is worth the cost you may have to pay. For instance, do you value owning a business more than being an employee? If yes, why are you always searching for vacancies versus thinking of your business idea through? For if you value business more and were led by that value, you’d be more concerned with seeing your business idea being more practical; consulting people if you have to.
  2. Value will help to keep you single minded. The reason so many people fail in life is that they never complete anything they’ve started. You must make it a habit to see your initiatives through. If I may ask, of all the things you initiated so far, how many were a success? I bet most of those you aborted could have been amazing successes, because you didn’t value them that much.
  3. Value helps you know who you need to be with, where you need to be and what you should focus all your efforts on to get to the success you want.
  4. Value will bring to light the things that will be useful in your search for success. Some say, “if you don’t know where you come from you’ll never know where you’re going.” So you see you need to come to terms with who you are and where you are in the circle of life, then define your success and work your way towards it. But if your value isn’t backed up by a conviction to succeed, you’ll not make it out here.

Establish what you want as your success and reasons why you must succeed in that way and on that scale. Only then will you succeed.
