How will you fight for an AIDS-free generation?

As a Youth Ambassadors you will serve at facility-level and in catchment areas. New opportunities at the national level to grow this cadre, amplify the voices and stories of young people, and extend partnerships need a qualified staff member.

No two days are alike at EGPAF, but what can you expect as a Title?

·       Provide Health Education to Adolescents and Young People on HIV/AIDS and SRH issues

·       Make Monthly plans for Peer education and activities and testing and counselling of Adolescents

·       Prepare the education sessions to be delivered at Adolescents Health Corners

·       Use the ADH training manuals, multimedia visual aid and other educational materials for peer education

·       Liaise with Schools to create awareness HIV/AIDS and SRH issues at Adolescents corners

·       Support Adolescents on life skills

·       Prepare and submit the monthly reports to the supervisor.

·       Mobilize Adolescents and young people to form Adolescent Clubs

·       Perform other duties as required by the ADH Nurse and Hospital Management Team.

Working station

The position is based in Leribe and Berea. Travel within Lesotho may be necessary.

To be successful, you will have:

·       COSC Level Certificate

·       Aged between 20-24

·       Trained on HIV/AIDS and SRH issues would be an added advantage

·       Adequate communication, leadership and teaching skill to fulfill the demanded tasks

·       Experience in Working with Adolescents and Young People.

·       Good knowledge of spoken and written English is a clear asset.

·       Non-judgmental attitudes, humanitarian values and ethics

·       Proactive support of the core ideas of Adolescents empowerment to get access to physical, mental, social and emotional health as well as human and legal rights is absolute precondition

·       Good report writing, training and computer skills

·       Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team

·       Adolescents and young people living with HIV are strongly encouraged to apply

Bonus points if you have:

Experience in HIV field work will be added advantage especially working with adolescents and knowledge on formation of teen clubs

·       Good time management

·       Non-judgemental approach

·       Good team building skiils and etiquette

·       Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
