Petra Diamonds is a leading independent diamond mining group and an increasingly important supplier of rough diamonds to the
international market. The Company has interests in four producing mines: three in South Africa (Finsch, Cullinan, Koffiefontein) and
one in Tanzania (Williamson). It also maintains an exploration programme in Botswana.
Job Grade: Non Graded (6 month fixed term contract)

Petra Diamonds SA invites candidates who are newly qualified and interested in gaining workplace experience in the mining sector
in the discipline of Public Relations and Communications Management, particularly in the field of Stakeholder Engagement and
Management, to apply for the Young Graduate Work Experience Project. This position is at Cullinan Diamond Mine, Cullinan
(Gauteng).
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12
Diploma/Degree in Public Relations and Communication or equivalent relevant three-year qualification majoring in these subjects
Proven computer literacy in MS Office
Advanced verbal and written communication skills in English
Valid driver’s license
Duties and Responsibilities:
Follow a programme to gain workplace experience within specified areas and sections
Execute project-based work related to the implementation of a Stakeholder Engagement and Management process
Work in designated areas according to the Mine’s Standard Operating Procedures
Work according to the applicable Policies and Procedures
Submit progress reports to supervisor for assessment
Other Skills/Competencies:
Adaptability and the ability to communicate with employees across different disciplines and levels
Ability to work under pressure
Show initiative and be self-motivated
