Workers’ World Media Productions, a labour media NGO based in Cape Town with offices in Johannesburg and East London, in partnership with The Raith Foundation.

WWMP Media seesk to appoint an intern to be based in Cape Town.

Employment type: 11-month internship to a suitably qualified candidate.

The purpose of this position is to offer an opportunity for dynamic, committed and innovative graduate. The candidate will be trained and work as a content producer based in Khayelitsha, Cape Town, for the three WWMP mass media platforms (Radio, TV, Print and Social Media).

Requirements:
University Journalism qualification at Bachelor’s level
Politics or Sociology/Anthropology as one of the majors
Involvement in student and/or community organisation
Passion for community media and politics
Driver’s license
The internship includes a generous stipend of R12000 per month and training, along with mentoring on multi-media skills, radio and TV productions as well as online writing and editing.
