Would coaching from business experts or financial assistance give you the boost you need to bring your idea to life?
If that sounds like you—and you’re passionate about making the world a better place—the BeChangeMaker program could be exactly what you’re looking for. Launched in 2017, BeChangeMaker is an exciting, online social entrepreneurship training program created by WorldSkills International and the HP Foundation to offer people ages 18–35 a chance to develop their potential as social entrepreneurs.
Working in teams, participants take HP LIFE courses and receive support—including coaching, tools, and mentorship from HP employee experts—to help them develop a viable business model to solve a social issue while using the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals as a framework.
At the end of the three-month program, five teams will be chosen to pitch their business ideas at WorldSkills General Assembly 2020 in Dublin. Judges will select three teams to receive €2,000 in funding and additional support worth €1,000 to develop their businesses.
Last year, 270 teams from 38 countries applied to join BeChangeMaker. The three winning teams developed innovative business ideas for using nanobubble technology to reduce environmental pollution, turning plastic waste into eco-friendly construction materials, and transforming fish waste into climate-neutral fashion.
