SanLei (PTY) Ltd a company based in Lesotho currently has vacancy for the following position:
Position: Workshop Manager
Job Description/Purpose
PURPOSE: Ensure the effective running of all plant, equipment, vehicles, machinery facilities to be used in the farming operation of SanLei Trout on the site at Katse Dam.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
- Planning of projects, work schedules and maintenance routines.
- Implement and inspect planned preventative maintenance
- Compile accurate, corrective, and preventative reports.
- Initial assembly and installation of the various plant and equipment.
- Modelling and promoting an organizational culture that fosters safety practices adherence through effective leadership
- To carry out supervision and coordination of support staff, including skills development
- Supervise and follow up on actual progress of each individual job.
Qualifications & Experience
- Minimum National Diploma in Mechanical/ electrical/refrigeration Engineering
- At least 5 years of experience in workshop Management
- Proven ability to lead a medium size team
- A thorough understanding of and experience with mechanical/electrical and refrigeration techniques.
- Team player and good communicator
Skills competencies & requirements
- Full driver’s license and range of licenses to operate equipment
- Innovative, inventive, and analytical, able to pre-empt, resolve problems and compliance conscious
- Deadline focused and able to make critical decisions under pressure while maintaining safety of the staff he is working with
- Good record keeping skills and attention to detail and computer literate
- Proven record of ability to manage time and work to strict deadlines
- Willing to work during weekends and longer hours when required
- Fluency in English, written and spoken, driving continuous improvement
