Position: Wooden Craft Assistant – Trainee

About the Role:
We are looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and hands-on individual to join our growing gift shop team as a Wooden Craft Assistant. This role is perfect for someone with a passion for handcrafted items, particularly wood-based designs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in crafting and assembling wooden products such as boxes, frames, and decorative items
- Perform sanding, staining, painting, and varnishing to ensure smooth, high-quality finishes
- Help with custom engraving or personalization of wooden gifts based on client requests
- Maintain tools and keep the crafting workspace clean, organized, and safe
- Monitor stock of working equipment and report when materials need restocking
Required:
- Basic woodworking skills and comfort using hand tools and light machinery
- Strong attention to detail and ability to produce neat, high-quality finishes
- Creativity and a good eye for design, layout, and presentation
- Must reside in or near Sekamaneng, Naleli, Koalabata, or Khubetsoana
Qualifications:
- Certificate in carpentry, woodwork, or a related field
- 1 year of related work experience
