Competition rules
The aim is to support businesses that have suffered a loss during the National Lockdown in response to the global pandemic.
- The competition will start from 21 January 2021 to 26 February 2021
- Open to all Basotho owned businesses including non-FNB customers
- Winners of the competition will be expected to open an FNB Business Account
- Customers are provided with one entry and are requested to submit entries via email to [email protected]
- Business plans will be vetted by a panel of judges with a scorecard and shortlisted to 20 finalists
- Winners to be included in existing Management Services for mentorship programme
Business plan layout
Submit a business plan of a maximum of 10 pages with the following:
- Executive summary
- Company summary
- Product outline
- Market analysis
- Strategic and implementation summary
- Management structure
- Financial plan and projections
Business plans will be vetted by a panel of judges with a scorecard and shortlisted to 20 finalists.
Qualifying criteria
All small business owners who suffered a loss during the National Lockdown in response to the global pandemic.
- Businesses must be 100% Basotho owned, by Basotho nationals
- Businesses must have been in operation for a minimum of 3 years with clear financial records
- Businesses must employ a minimum of 3 employees including the owner
- Annual turnover of up to M2million
- The businesses should be in the agriculture sector (production and agri-processing), manufacturing sector, events and event management sector, or the tourism sector
