Eligibility

The competition is open to photographers aged 18 and over for the Adult Competition and to photographers aged 17 and under for the Young Competition.

Prize

The prizes for photographers aged 18 and over include the Wildlife Photographer of the Year award with a prize of £10,000, a trophy, and a personalized certificate. Other prizes include the Portfolio Award (£2,500 and a trip to London for the awards ceremony), Photojournalist Story Award (£2,500 and a trip to London for the awards ceremony), Rising Star Portfolio Award (£1,500 and a trip to London for the awards ceremony), and individual category winners (£1,250 and a trip to London for the awards ceremony). Additionally, there is a Special 60th Award with a prize of £1,250 and a trip to London for the awards ceremony.

For photographers aged 17 and under, the Young Wildlife Photographer of the Year award includes a prize of £1,500, a trophy, and a personalized certificate, along with a 2-day Masterclass with a professional photographer. Young category winners receive £500 and a personalized certificate, along with a trip to London for the awards ceremony.
