The life changing work that Wildlands does is structured through seven programmes carried out across 12 Community Ecosystem Based Adaptation (CEBA) clusters in six provinces. Wildlands programmes are complementary and all contribute towards its core focus of building robust ecosystems that underwrite human wellbeing and sustainable development. They are focused on areas of intervention aimed at sustainable natural resource use and the development of a green economy.
Wildlands Conservation Trust seeks to appoint a Senior Bookkeeper to be based in Hilton, Pietermaritzburg.
Reports to: The Strategic Manager
Responsibilities:
- Finance and Admin and will be responsible for all finance related functions, including but not limited to cashbook processing, journals, petty cash, investment processing, SARS statutory returns, supplier database and asset register management
Requirements:
- Have a relevant three-year diploma/degree
- Strong financial and admin background
- Computer literacy
- Organisational skills, analytical and reconciliation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
- Ability to respond effectively to changing priorities, with a minimum of three to five years’ experience in a finance department
- Proficiency in Sage 300 (Accpac) or related finance management systems and Microsoft Office is essential
- Must have own transport
