SUN JV (a joint venture among SINOHYDRO BUREAU 8 CO., LTD, SINOHYDRO BUREAU 14 CO., LTD., UNIK CIVIL ENGINEERING PTY LTD., and NTHANE BROTHERS PTY LTD.) is the Contractor for the Construction of Polihali Dam and Appurtenant Works under the Lesotho Highlands Water Project – Phase II.
The scope of work includes construction of a concrete-faced rockfill dam at Polihali, approximately 1 km downstream of the confluence of the Khubelu and Senqu (Orange) Rivers, a saddle dam, and a gravity tunnel connecting Polihali Reservoir to Katse Reservoir.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the following positions:
Welding Inspector (x1)
Position Overview
Responsible for inspection and certification of weld quality in accordance with ASME standards.
Key Responsibilities
• Visual and dimensional inspections
• Coating and dry film thickness testing
• Inspect bolted connections
• Maintain full welding compliance records
• Support inventory and assembly verification
Qualifications & Skills
• Knowledge of steel testing including Charpy V-notch
• Interpretation of engineering drawings and specifications
• Coating inspection experience
• Strong reporting and compliance capability
Physical Requirements
• Able to work at heights and confined spaces
• Must follow strict safety procedures
