Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Must possess COSC/GCE;
- Three-year or two-year crafts certificate in Fitting and Machining (Turning) / Welding / Metalwork.
Duties and Responsibilities
- General welding repair works;
- Repairs to steel furniture – tables and seats;
- Construction, repairs and installation of burglarproof doors;
- Construction, repairs and installation of burglarproof windows;
- Construction, repairs and installation of steel gates;
- General repairs to steel elements such as geysers, doorframes, etc., to assist other trades in terms of welding or metalwork;
- Arc welding;
- Oxy-Acetylene welding.
Experience:
- 1 year of relevant work experience.
Competencies
- Must have sound knowledge of equipment, methods and materials used in the Welding environment;
- Ability to address multiple tasks, technical issues and job material listing and costing;
- Must have working knowledge of other trades;
- Should have working knowledge of English;
- Must be able to exercise initiative;
- Must be able to maintain accurate records;
- Must be able to measure the work;
- More output for less cost and less time.
Skills:
- Ability to think logically
- Working knowledge of English
- Team player and interpersonal skills
Special condition:
- Must be ready to reside in Roma Valley within a radius of 3km from Roma Campus
- Must be physically fit to climb buildings and scaffoldings
- Work 24/7 hours.
