Position: Websites Technical Sales Engineer
Position Summary
A Website Technical Sales Engineer is a versatile position that intersects the domains of sales, technology, and customer service. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide technical expertise and support to the CBS web designers team and customers throughout the development and sales cycle. This includes product demonstrations, technical troubleshooting. proposals writing, and technical guidance in development of industry standard website and web portal solutions to meet client needs. The Technical Sales Engineer must maintain a deep understanding of the website’s and web portals features and capacities and stay abreast of industry trends and competitor products.
Purpose of the Role
To sell, deliver and manage websites and web portal solutions to CBS clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage customer relations
- identify business opportunities and write proposals to win new business clients
- Work in collaboration with web designers to deliver web solutions that meet client’s expectations
- Meet with clients to analyze business problems, make solution recommendations, close commercial
deals and participate in the development of agreed solutions - Develop and maintain technical documentation including inception reports, requirements specification documents, training materials and user acceptance testing documents.
- Respond to Request of Proposals and other tender documents
- Work with the sales team to provide technical and market expertise during sales meetings and pitches.
Core Duties
- Selling large-scale, innovative IT services and solutions
- Presenting solutions and services in written or verbal reports;
- Gathering business intelligence in the market place;
- Assessing solution success based on customer satisfaction;
- Meeting or exceeding sales targets
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of practical experience selling IT products and services.
- Minimum 2 years in websites and web portals development
- Excellent technical writing and communication skills
- Ability to handle multiple activities and function well under pressure.
- Ability to sell is a key requirement for the position.
Qualifications
- Degree in Computer Science / MIS / Computer Engineering or equivalent with an experience of at least 3 years.
