Webinar | Beyond Numbers: Addressing Gendered Workplace Violence to Advance Universal Health Coverage

We are pleased to invite you to our upcoming webinar, Beyond Numbers: Addressing Gendered Workplace Violence to Advance Universal Health Coverage.

Progress towards Universal Health Coverage (UHC) is often reduced to counting health workers and reviewing their distribution. Far less attention is being paid to the safety, motivation, and well-being of the workforce, especially that of women, who constitute a substantial share of frontline health workers.

Gendered workplace violence is a pervasive yet under-acknowledged form of structural harm. It undermines the safety, well-being, and agency of the primary health care (PHC) workforce and, in doing so, erodes the resilience and responsiveness of PHC systems. Addressing GWPV is an important investment in the quality and sustainability of the health workforce and, ultimately, in the quality of PHC itself.

In this context, the ๐—œ๐—บ๐—ฎ๐—ฟ๐—ถ๐˜€๐—ต๐—ฎ ๐—ฐ๐—ผ๐—ป๐˜€๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐˜๐—ถ๐˜‚๐—บ is convening a webinar to:

3. Identify gender-responsive strategies for safer, supportive, and quality-focused health-care workplaces as part of Tanzania, Burkina Faso, South Africaโ€™s UHC agenda.
