The Communication Unit at UNDP Geneva is seeking a consultant to assist in maintaining UNDP Geneva website and Twitter account
Duties and Responsibilities
Scope of Work
Under the supervision of the Communication specialist, the candidate will:
- Provide assistance in curating stories, images, and videos in UNDP global site and in updating UNDP Geneva web content management system.
- Research quality pictures in UNDP database.
- Create pages and upload content in UNDP Geneva content Management System and UNDP global website.
- Review available content from web stories published on UNDP global and other UNDP websites as well as from partners and schedule tweets for UNDP Geneva Twitter account ensuring consistency across languages, timeliness and accuracy.
- Leverage social media pack created by UNDP colleagues and partners to generate content on UNDP Geneva Twitter account
- Craft specific content for UNDP Geneva Twitter account based on speech or panel conversations (content provided by UNDP Geneva colleagues)
- Develop blogs and donors related stories for UNDP Geneva website

- At least four years of relevant experience (online communication, social media).
- Experience with formatting and updating content on CQ5, UNDP content management system (CMS);
- Experience with editing and developing English material for the web;
- Experience with drafting content for Twitter;
- Professional experience within the United Nations System.
Academic Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree or equivalent Advanced Degree in communications, international affairs or a related area.

- Excellent command of written and spoken English
Scope of Price Proposal and Schedule of Payments
UNDP applies a fair and transparent selection process that would take into account both the technical qualification of Individual Consultants as well as their financial proposals. The contract will be awarded to the candidate whose offer:
- Is deemed technically responsive / compliant / acceptable (only technically responsive applications with a minimum of 49 points will be considered shortlisted for the financial evaluation)
And has obtained the highest combined technical and financial scores.
- Technical Criteria – 70% of total evaluation – max. 70 points
- Criteria A: Theoretical and practical familiarity with curating information and producing online content for website and social media for a large development organization – max points: 50
- Criteria B: Written assignment– max points: 20
- Financial Criteria – 30% of total evaluation – max. 30 points. Only shortlisted candidates (with a minimum of 49 points of technical score will be considered)
