Job Description:

  • Provide technical support to APs in the implementation of WASH innovation programmes and ensure that there is measurable deliverables of activities in all the districts in line with the project objectives.
  • Plan, organize and ensure that project activities are implemented for the targeted audience on time and budget spent according to the project plan.
  • Coordinate the process of community assessment in the district/AP to support project planning, monitoring and evaluation
  • Engage in reviewing activity vs. budget plan in a monthly basis to monitor the activity progress and budget utilization.
  • Engage, liaise and networking with partners collaborating on WASH, Nutrition and Child Protection on implementation of the project activities.
  • Organize National WASH, Nutrition and Child Protection forums with key stakeholders for strategic planning, policy influence and private public partnerships
  • Preparation of Project plans, reports, and review of district reports, for maximum compliance with the set standards and follow up its implementation
  • Encourage teamwork, be a team player, support and supervise officers and other relevant personnel.
  • Provide effective leadership and technical support to other staff and communities
  • Attend and participate in spiritual nurture meetings and in weekly and daily devotions as scheduled and required.
  • Exhibit spiritual maturity, integrity biblical leadership and a dynamic personal sense of life calling.
  • Influence staff towards a shared World Vision mission

Qualifications and Experience:

  • A Bachelor of Science in Environmental Health, Public Health, Water Resource Management or any other relevant discipline
  • At least three (3) years’ experience in implementing rural water supply and sanitation projects.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizing and facilitating training, mentorship and capacity building of community leaders;
  • Experience coordinating trainings, community activities and logistics at the field level;
  • Knowledge of UNICEF reporting requirements including familiarity with the data collection and reporting tools and added advantage
  • Direct experience implementing WASH programming is an added advantage;

Working Environment / Conditions:

  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 100% of the time
