What you can expect
The successful candidates will be responsible for responsible for ensuring that BASF products and assets are well controlled in and around the warehouse facility. He / she is also responsible for ensuring warehouse processes are followed and that deliveries to clients are both on time and accurate. Core responsibilities will include the following:
- Ensure Health and Safety procedures are adhered to
- Ensuring PPE is worn by all who enter and work in the warehouse and that it is in good condition and issues registers are up to date
- Ensuring that all incoming service providers vehicles are compliance by completing an entry and exit declaration check and raising a SAP NCM when required.
- Physical check of all intercompany paint deliveries on Logistics service provider’s vehicles for possible damages or tampering. Reporting any discrepancies to the Supply Chain Officer
- Ensuring that all stock received is checked against the suppliers invoice / delivery notes for correctness
- Picking of stock – checking accuracy of product, quantity and quality before loading
- Printing out the driver’s trip sheet and hand it, together with the TREM cards, to the driver before leaving the dispatch area
- Responsible for the safe loading and delivery of products to customers in accordance with BASF TDS
- Batch maintenance for all relevant products and doing stock rotation daily
- Identify all stock damages or non-saleable stock and inform the PRP Buyer accordingly
- Responsible for complete and correct disposal procedure
- Ensuring that driver/s have completed the manual GRV timeously on any stock that is returned by Customers, and then submit it for approval
- Responsible for all incoming and outgoing repairs on customer equipment
- Responsible for ensuring that the repair register is always kept up to date
- Provide leadership and management to direct reports through effective target setting, delegation and communication
What we expect
- Must have Matric certificate
- Minimum of 3 – 4 years warehousing and dispatch supervisory experience
- Knowledge and (preferably) experience in the implementation of security and risk management protocols within a logistics environment
- Must have a valid drivers license. A Forklift license would be a distinct an advantage
- Computer literate: MS Excel, MS Word and SAP
