Position: WARD AID/WARD ATTENDANT × 3
– C.O.S.C/LGCSE with at least two subjects passed.
– Be fluent in Sesotho and English,
– Experience in a Hospital ervironment and dealing with patients directly would be an added advantage
SKILLS AND ABILITIES;
– Hardworking, dedicated, respectful, good
communication, ability to interpret to both Sesotho and English speaking
– Interpersonal skills (ie. humility, patience, empathy and sympathy).
– Able to work under pressure, confidentiality and secrecy.
DUTIES INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO;
1. To determine signal lights and bells to determine patient’s needs.
2. To bath, dress and undress patients and assist them with personal hygiene.
3. To serve and collect food trays and feed patients requiring help.
4. To transport patients to treatment units using wheelchairs or assist them to walk.
5. To remain with patients during examination and treatment
6. To assemble equipment and supplies in preparation for diagnostic or treatment procedures performed by physicians or nurses.
7. To change bed linen, run errands and direct visitors.
8. To report all unusual conditions or reactions to nurse in charge
