Afriski Mountain Resort invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Waitron at its site at Mahlasela Pass.
Job Responsibilities
You will provide the following services:
Customer Service
• Greet and welcome guests upon arrival at the restaurant
• Provide menu recommendations and answer customer inquiries regarding food and beverages
• Take customer orders accurately
• Ensure timely and correct delivery of orders to tables
Food and Beverage Service
• Serve food and beverages in accordance with established service standards
• Ensure proper presentation of dishes and beverages before serving
• Assist with food preparation and garnishing when necessary
Table Maintenance
• Set up and arrange tables according to seating and cleanliness standards
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the dining area throughout service
Requirements
• Previous experience in a similar role within the hospitality industry is preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a fast‑paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and good organisational skills
• Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service
• Flexibility to work weekends, holidays, and evenings during peak season
• Positive attitude and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service
