Reports to: Assistant Food & Beverage Manager
Location: Mohale Lodge
Contract Type: Fixed-Term
Qualifications
- Certificate in Hotel, Tourism, or Hospitality Management
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar role
Experience and Skills
- Customer service skills
- Teamwork
- Ability to communicate in both English and Sesotho
- Ability to accept criticism and work well under pressure
- Attention to detail
- Excellent verbal communication skills
- Basic math skills
- Active listening and good memory
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Greet and escort customers to their tables
- Present menu and provide detailed information when asked
- Prepare tables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses
- Offer menu recommendations upon request
- Up-sell additional products when appropriate
- Check dishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation; report any problems
