Voter Educators (VEs)
Overview
The Independent Electoral Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho Nationals for the temporary position of Voter Educators to support the intensification of voter registration.
Job Description
Under the supervision of the Constituency Electoral Assistant (CEA), the Voter Educator shall:
• Educate the public on electoral matters, including new boundaries and constituencies
• Distribute voter education materials and conduct training on all phases of Registration, Nomination, and Voting
• Sensitise the public on electoral activities within respective constituencies
• Assist the CEA in training:
- Display Clerks
- Official Witnesses
- Party Agents
- Voting Station staff
• Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Elections related to electoral activities
• Produce monthly reports and workplans
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum Diploma in:
- Adult Education
- Education
- Public Administration
- Development Studies
Applicant Requirements
• Must have good communication skills
• Must be registered as an elector
• Must be willing to work in any Constituency or District
• Must be between the ages of 18 and 60 years
• Must have a registered mobile account and phone number or a valid bank account
