Vodacom has successfully implemented a price transformation strategy aimed at reducing the cost to communicate for customers using voice, data and SMS services. The introduction of our bundle offerings, which are enjoyed by over 70% of our customers, has been central to providing greater value to customers.

At the same time, we have continued to innovate the Lesotho communications market through the introduction of new products and services, ground-breaking technologies and improving network coverage and quality of service. A prime example is the launch of the 5G pilot in 2018, making Lesotho the first in Africa and one of the first in the world to have access to a 5G network.

Vodacom has noted the Lesotho Communications Authority’s (LCA) press release regarding out-of-bundle charging for voice and SMS services and welcomes the extension of the deadline to July 9, 2020.

Our technical team is working hard to implement the out-of-bundle voice/SMS solution and we are confident that the changes that we will introduce will be another important milestone in providing customers with the power to control their spend.

Vodacom continues to work with the LCA in an effort to ensure that we continue to provide a superior customer experience and will be engaging on the technical feasibility of implementing the best possible solution within the 30-day period.
