Job Summary (Here you highlight the responsibilities expected to be performed

We are looking for a temporary proficient Videographer Intern to join us. You will be responsible for filming raw footages on live locations as well as covering shoots on sets. Besides filming, you should be able to clip the footage together and edit it. You should be able to set up cameras, lighting, backdrops and any other props required for a shoot.  Apart from video setup and shooting, you will be responsible for maintaining the equipment in proper working order. Furthermore, maintaining the equipment inventory is also your responsibility.

He or she will be responsible for planning, filming, and editing videos that could be used for a variety of projects such as success stories for conferences, presentations, social media and demand creation as well as advocacy campaigns . Responsible for recording live events and small-scale video productions. Focus on smaller productions of less than 5-minutes like documentaries, live events, short stories, and training videos. He or she should have skills in:

·       Framing and shot composition.

·       Lighting and sound.

·       Focus, exposure and angles.

·       Knowing which equipment to use for various kinds of filming.

·       Shooting primary footage, background footage and live feed.

·       Be Creativity and attention to detail

·       Ability to work under deadline pressure  

Roles and Responsibilities

·       Identify important videography equipment for the unit and have knowledge on how to use them

·       Ability to operate, maintain, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to audio and video equipment.

·       Ability to effectively manage time and schedules.

·       Records maintenance skills.

·       Ability to configure, operate and maintain studio and/or field audio, lighting and associated production equipment.

·       Knowledge of computerized tape editing applications and procedures.

·       Knowledge of professional audio and/or video tape editing and post-production procedures, techniques, and standards.

·       Perform any other duties assigned to him/ her by the supervisor.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

·       Degree or diploma in videography, broadcasting or relevant field

·       A certificate course in Videography or Cinematography is also preferred

·       Proficiency in video editing software

·       Familiarity with different cameras like digital cameras, professional-grade cameras and digital camcorders

·       Excellent computer skills

·       Excellent English and Sesotho languages

·       Strong communication and interpersonal skills

·       Knowledge of different motion picture techniques 

·       Physically fit and having an eye for detail

·       Basic knowledge of production modes like doing a single camera setup and adjusting camera’s white balance

·       Ability to work in a team

·       Excellent analytical skills
