The Road Fund was established by Legal Notice No. 179 of 1995, and regulated under the Finance (Road Fund) Regulations 2012, with the primary objective of providing a mechanism for progressive transformation of the road sector, whereby the fiscal burden for maintenance of roads is gradually being shifted from the Government to
users of public roads. Overall management of the Fund rests with the Road Fund Board, which was established by Legal Notice No. 16 of 1996 whilst the day to day operations of the Fund are entrusted to the Secretariat.
The Road Fund Board requires the services of a suitably qualified Lesotho National to fill the position of Verification Officer.
Job Purpose
The incumbent is responsible for updating revenue related records and liaises with organizations that collect revenue on behalf of the Road Fund.
Qualifications, Working Experience, and Knowledge:
Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting/ General Accounting Stage or any
related degree plus two (2) years of experience in revenue collection.
Or, Diploma in Accounting/Business Management or any related diploma
plus four (4) years’ experience in an accounting environment (experience in revenue collection, financial reporting, data capturing and analysis, etc.)
Valid two (2) years Code B or higher Driver’s License.
Remuneration
Salary will be in accordance with the Road Fund scales of remuneration, which are competitive and market related.
