Velvet Operator
We are looking for a hands-on and detail-oriented individual to join our production team as a Velvet Operator. This position is suited to a candidate with at least one year of experience in a printing or branding environment who is eager to grow their skills within a dynamic and creative team.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate velvet printing equipment to produce high-quality printable velvet and vinyl designs.
- Perform sublimation printing on mugs, key holders and other substrates.
- Execute vinyl cutting accurately using cutting equipment and software.
- Operate heat press machines to transfer designs onto various materials.
- Produce and finish printable velvet and vinyl printing jobs to the required standard.
Required Skills and Software Knowledge
- Velvet printing — printable velvet and vinyl.
- Sublimation printing — mugs, key holders and related substrates.
- Vinyl cutting.
- Heat pressing.
- Inkscape — vector design and file preparation.
- Autolaser — laser cutting and engraving software.
- Adobe Photoshop — image editing and design preparation.
Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a printing, branding or production environment.
- Practical knowledge of the equipment and software listed above.
- Ability to work accurately and efficiently under production deadlines.
- A keen eye for detail and a commitment to producing quality work.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Willingness to learn and take on additional production tasks as required.
