The LNDC would like to invite proposals for interested companies to rent its 11,500m2 factory building in Mafeteng, about 67km to the South of Maseru, for value-adding (manufacturing, assembling, processing etc) operations, to create +/-3,000 direct jobs. The facility is situated next to the main road, about 10 minutes’ drive to Van Rooyen`s Border Gate leading to South Africa. The building is serviced with water and electricity and it is offered at highly competitive rates.
The building has the following features:
- On-site apartments for management staff;
- Perimeter security fencing around the whole compound;
- A guard house at the main gate;
- A nearby electricity substation;
- Water reservoirs; and
- Two large-sized storage rooms.
The Mafeteng district has abundant, highly efficient and experienced machinists and general workers. It is also easily accessible by high quality tar roads from Maseru, Quthing and South Africa. It is a fast-growing vibrant town with an increasing number of business and other opportunities.
