SOFTGAMES is looking for a UI Designer (remote or Berlin) to help create amazing User Experiences for a new Instant Game.
The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, are great problem solvers and have passion for User Interface design and experiences. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and improving art assets for menus, icons and in-game HUDs. Furthermore the ideal candidate will design intuitive, attractive and functional UI systems while paying special attention to the quality of the user experience.
You can either work REMOTELY or in our central Berlin office surrounded by a great bunch of people!
**Qualified applicants will be expected to complete a test.
Your role will consist in:
- Creating usable, useful, and playful features and systems for the game
- Designing UI animations, transitions and visual effects
- Documenting UI style guides
- Working in synergy with developers and game designers, delivering assets in accordance to the project’s technical and feature requirements
- Iterate on your designs to find new UI solutions that better serve the players’ needs
Your profile:
- Minimum of 3 years of experience crafting UI for games, preferably mobile
- Advanced proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite
- Demonstrating creativity and adaptability to a variety of artistic styles
- Understanding of free-to-play mobile games
- Passionate about games!
Bonus skills:
- Experience with 2D Animation and Visual Effects
- Experience with casual games (45+ female core audience)
- Experience in user interface design for mobile and web games
- Great sense of composition and colour
