Job Advertisement: Tutor
Paray School of Nursing invites applications for the position of Tutor (one post available) to support the academic and clinical teaching of Nursing and Midwifery students.
The Tutor will be responsible for delivering both theoretical and clinical tutorial sessions to Nursing and Midwifery students, ensuring a high standard of education and skill development.

Duration: 5 Months – Fixed Term
Salary: Grade F
Location: Paray School of Nursing, Thaba-Tseka
Key Duties
- Plan and conduct academic/tutorial sessions for students across various programme levels.
- Collaborate with educators, programme heads, and the academic head on tutorial matters.
- Implement and assess tutorial sessions for effective learning.
- Foster analytical and communication skills among students.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Midwifery.
- Registered with the Lesotho Nursing Council as a Nurse Midwife.
- Experience in teaching or using innovative educational strategies such as competency-based education, simulation, or clinical supervision is preferred.
- Candidate should be a top performer, as evidenced by their performance in individual courses/modules and overall degree classification of Second Class First Division (2.1).
- Preceptorship training is advantageous.
- Minimum of 2 years’ clinical experience in direct patient care is advantageous.
Other Requirements
- Proficient computer skills.
- Experience with eLearning, either as an instructor or learner.
- Strong analytical, interpretive and problem-solving abilities.
- Familiarity with competency-based teaching approaches.
- Flexibility to work varied schedules.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Mature, decisive and capable of working effectively under pressure while maintaining high-quality output.
