VACANCY: TRUCK MECHANIC
ROLE PURPOSE
Maintain and repair trucks and trailers to ensure safe, reliable and efficient fleet operations with minimal downtime.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strong diagnostic, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to perform maintenance and repairs on superlink trucks and trailers.
- Conduct inspections and preventive maintenance to minimise downtime.
- Respond to breakdowns and ensure accurate maintenance documentation.
- Ability to work independently, maintain high safety standards and deliver quality workmanship.
REQUIREMENTS
- Trade-tested Diesel Mechanic with at least 5 years’ experience on heavy commercial vehicles.
- Proven experience with superlink trucks and trailers.
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, diagnostics, electronics and air brake systems.
- Valid driver’s licence.
ADVANTAGEOUS
- Code EC licence.
- Experience with Volvo, Scania, Mercedes-Benz, MAN, Freightliner, FAW, Hino, International or Isuzu brands.
- Welding and fabrication skills.
