Application are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho Nationals for the below-mentioned positions. The positions are permanent subject to successful four months’ probation period. The positions are tenable at Ntjamokatle (Pty) Ltd offices in Mokhotlong district.
Transport Officer (TPO)
Qualification
• Diploma or COSC with credit in Mathematics
• Valid driver’s license within minimum 2 years driving experience
Experience and other requirements
• Experience in fleet and transport management will be considered added advantage
• Computer Literacy in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and word
• Knowledge of transport methods, costs and benefits
• Ability to work well with others
• Good attention to detail
• Good organization and planning skills
Areas of performance
• Making sure vehicles are properly maintained
• Inspecting vehicles
• Arranging repairs and routine maintenance of vehicles
• Maintaining and completing accurate vehicle service records
• Ensuring the vehicles licenses and permits are up-to-date and doing renewals well before expiry dates
• Ensuring that all drivers and operators have the correct, up to date licensing
• Reducing the risk of vehicle overloading
• Maintaining and completing accurate records fleet records
• Keep delivery schedules and organizing distribution drivers to ensure controlled fleet usage
• Liaise with departmental heads and store manager to aid effective planning and optimal usage of distribution fleet
• Register all customers’ loads to be delivered and make available suitable vehicles to deliver
• Timely resolve any delays by coordinating and tracking drivers delivery lead-times
• Control vehicle spare parts and consumables through a proper record-keeping and storage.
