Seinoli Legal Centre (SLC) was established in 2014 as the first public interest law centre in Lesotho dedicated to addressing the legal needs of marginalised communities affected by large infrastructure development projects. SLC’s mission is to provide access to the law for communities impacted by projects like the Lesotho Highlands Water Project and other land-based investments, such as agribusiness and mineral resource extraction.
Role Description
This is a contract-based remote role for a Translator at Seinoli Legal Centre. The Translator will be responsible for translating information forms from English to Sesotho. The role will involve collaborating with the Development Manager and Communications Consultant to ensure accurate translations and effective communication.
Qualifications
- Proficiency in multiple languages, including English and Sesotho
- Strong communication skills
- Attention to detail and accuracy in translations
- Experience in legal translation and interpretation is an added advantage
