Bergzicht Training, based in the heart of Stellenbosch, is a 30-year old, successful non-profit organization that trains unemployed people from local previously disadvantaged communities in basic relevant skills enabling self-leadership; provides them support in finding full-time employment as well as offers mentoring and support to all graduates for their first year of employment.

An exciting opportunity exists in Stellenbosch, seeking a skilled and experienced individual as Training Manager to join a dynamic support and facilitation team to head up and ensure the smooth and effective running of all training operational matters at Bergzicht Training, whilst maintaining a high standard of training outputs at all times.

Required Minimum Qualification: Grade 12 plus a 3-year minimum Tertiary qualification in Education, Training, HR or a related field

Required Minimum Work Experience: 10 years in a similar Management position with preferred experience in a similar training position

Duties/Responsibilities:

Oversee the overall management of the campus premises
Develop, design and oversee training programmes ensuring content is kept relevant, accurate and effective
Review existing training programs; suggests enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning to meet changing needs.
Oversee daily training activities
Manage day-to-day facilitation of all programmes
Build annual training programme and maintain training rosters
Coordination and management of accreditation partners and oversee verification processes with relevant SETA’s
Engage and collaborate with all stakeholders i.e. funders, training partners, students, alumni, community leaders, etc.
Monthly funder report writing
Ensure Bergzicht’s values and standards are portrayed through effective training
Ensures that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved training budget.
Prepares and implements the training budget.
Maintains knowledge of new methods and techniques for training, and training requirements applicable to Bergzicht and relevant industries
Identifies problems and opportunities such as operational changes or industry developments
Appoint facilitators and maintain facilitator contracts
Contribute to quarterly Board meetings by providing training reports

Bilingual (English & Afrikaans essential – Xhosa an added advantage)
