Your primary focus in a Trainee Planner role would include:
- Learning on the job and excelling in your Trainee programme
- Working alongside a seasoned Planner and Buyer to absorb all their wealth of knowledge
- Ensuring sales and movement of stock
- Determining initial allocation of stock
- Actioning inter-store stock transfers (where applicable)
- Reviewing pre-determined stock and making adjustments if necessary
- Establishing quantities and timing of purchases for replenished stock
- Working to minimise “out of stock” situations
- Liaising with customers on their requests
To be great in this role you would need:
- a relevant tertiary qualification, these include Bachelor of Commerce degree or Bachelor of Business Science degree specializing in: Accounting, Supply Chain, Economics, Finance, Maths or Stats
- practical Excel knowledge (intermediate to advanced advantageous)
- an insatiable hunger to learn and grow
- a love for numbers and analysis
- ability to communicate at all levels
- a passion for fashion and retail
