VACANCY – Trained Nursing Assistants (TNA)
Number of Positions: Three (3)
SolidarMed is a leading non‑profit organization working to improve the health care of 2.5 million people in Lesotho, Mozambique, Tanzania, Zambia, and Zimbabwe. Working with national partners to strengthen health systems and community capacities, we are committed to scientific evidence and policy dialogue as both foundations and objectives of our work.
In close collaboration with the Ministry of Health of Lesotho, SolidarMed supports the implementation of Antimicrobial Stewardship (AMS) activities for the management of Acute Respiratory Tract Infections (ARTIs) in outpatient departments of district hospitals in the Butha‑Buthe, Mafeteng, and Leribe districts.
ARTIs are among the leading causes of outpatient consultations and antibiotic prescriptions, often resulting in unnecessary antibiotic use. However, data on causes, presentation, management, and recovery of ARTIs in routine care in Lesotho remain limited. Therefore, the RESPONSE‑AB‑LE 1 study (RESPiratory infectiONS – responsible AntiBiotic use in Lesotho) aims to generate comprehensive data on ARTIs, antibiotic prescribing practices, clinical decision‑making, and patient‑reported outcomes among patients with suspected ARTIs.
SolidarMed is seeking one Trained Nursing Assistant per hospital to support the AMS study team during baseline assessments.
