Your role will support our client’s trading activities in Los Angeles. The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate the ability to effectively interact with other team members in order to facilitate the best trade execution. Key responsibilities include documentation, backtesting, iterative optimizing, and applying various trading strategies in live trading situations.
Qualifications
- Fluent in English
- Able and willing to work when markets have the right amount of liquidity and volatility
- Degree(s) in relevant fields (mathematics, physics, finance, or software development)
- Familiar with taking a highly analytical, quantitative approach; strong sense of urgency
- Precise and accurate work style with great attention to detail
- Effective communication skills and proven ability to work with multiple stakeholders
- Strong work ethic and ability to perform with limited supervision
- Highly computer literate, advanced spreadsheet skills; programming skills would be great
- Physical and mental stamina; ability to work behind a computer screen for extended periods

Responsibilities
- Documentation of new trading strategies
- Thorough backtesting and benchmarking of trading strategies
- Precisely apply trading strategies in live trading situations
- Meet or exceed agreed upon performance goals
- Pro-actively contribute to the iterative optimization of existing and new trading strategies
- Daily, weekly and monthly reporting
Our client is prepared to offer a very attractive compensation package for the right candidate.
