Job Title: Trade Relations Officer
Number of Positions: One (1)
Responsible To: Senior Trade Relations Officer
Job Summary
Responsible for implementation of trade agreements, formulation of trade policies and strategies, dissemination of trade information, supervision of staff and office management.
Main Duties
1. Implements Trade Agreements
• Conducts stakeholder consultations.
• Conducts research on market access.
• Analyses trade data.
• Liaises with Ministries.
2. Formulates Trade Policy and Strategy
• Sensitises stakeholders.
• Identifies policy gaps.
• Implements trade policies.
3. Disseminates Trade Information
• Disseminates market information.
• Advises private sector.
• Advises on import/export procedures.
4. Supervises Staff
• Prepares budgets.
• Conducts appraisals.
• Supervises facilitation activities.
• Prepares sectional reports.
Job Specification
Master’s Degree in Business Administration/Economics/International Trade plus three (3) years
OR
Post Graduate Diploma plus four (4) years
OR
Bachelor’s Degree plus five (5) years
