TOWER CRANE ASSEMBLER required at An Influential company working on the key Lesotho Highlands Water Project, Based in Lesotho, the construction of the Polihali Dam a $ 1.65 Billion project will be led by a number of construction and engineering firms.
Our client is a leading international construction company, spearheading the $1.6 billion Polihali Dam project as part of the Lesotho Highlands Water Project. Salary: R 200,000 – R 300,000 Commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Position Overview:
The Tower Crane Assembler is responsible for assembling, dismantling, and maintaining tower cranes to ensure their functionality and safety throughout the construction project.
Duties & Responsibilities:
● Assemble and install tower cranes at construction sites according to engineering drawings and specifications.
● Dismantle and transport cranes upon project completion.
● Inspect all components and ensure they meet quality and safety standards before assembly.
● Troubleshoot and repair minor mechanical issues during assembly or dismantling.
● Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations during all stages of assembly.
● Work in coordination with crane operators and site managers to position the crane appropriately.
● Maintain tools and equipment required for crane assembly
Requirements:
● 5-10yrs construction experience
● High school diploma or equivalent.
● Certification in heavy equipment assembly or a related field is advantageous.
● Minimum 3 years of experience assembling tower cranes or similar heavy machinery.
● Strong mechanical aptitude and understanding of construction equipment.
● Ability to interpret technical blueprints and assembly instructions.
● Physical fitness and ability to work at heights.
● Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
● SA citizenship
● EE Candidate
