SEMIM programme is back to bring hope to young Basotho graduates with empowerment opportunities to make Graduates relevant to the job demands of the 21st Century and for them to equipped with skills that help them mutate themselves in order to grow the economy and lead wholesome, purpose-driven lifestyles.

Unemployed Basotho Graduates cordially called to show interest in a Competitive 10 Week Practical Training Program named:
“Navigating 21st Century Economy and Professional Mutation for Graduates”

The programme is only open to Degree Holders in:

  • Humanities
  • Social Sciences excluding Accounting, BCom, Finance & Economics
  • Education excluding Mathematics and All Natural Sciences

Selection Criterion:
Graduates from Primary and High Schools categorized and classified as DISADVANTAGED by the selection Panel and mainly rural areas based schools will be given first Preference. Where application numbers of those considered disadvantaged exceed 20, the selection will automatically exclude all other applicants.

Program structure
Carefully selected Resource Persons drawn from HR, Teachers, Educators, the Private Sector, Traditional Leadership, Development Specialists and Entrepreneurs will expose graduates on amongst others, the following:

  • Digital technology and personal branding
  • The Power of Language
  • Economic and Social Cultural Dynamics
  • Introduction to International Investment Law
  • Ethics and Professional Etiquette
  • Constitutionality, Constitutionalism, Sovereignty, Identity, Nationality and Nationhood
  • Entrepreneurial and Enterprising Case Studies in the Digital Space – Comparative Exercises
  • Biodiversity
  • Human Trafficking
  • Resume Bootcamp

Data-driven Decision-Making
At the end of the 10 Weeks, each participant will be required to submit a 250 words paper on any of the above topics that speak to his/her new packaged self. the paper shall be dubbed – “U Mang?”

Participants will also be required to produce Group Papers on the link between Education and Career Development based on their own personal experiences at the end of the Training

Note: Training requires self – driven individuals who are willing to perform optimally and meet deadlines
