Details
The Mogford Prize is an annual short story writing competition founded by The Oxford Collection owner Jeremy Mogford.

All submitted stories (no poems or scripts) must have food and/or drink at the centre of the narrative.

Above anything else, we are looking for short stories that have food and/or drink at their heart. This could be a detective story with a food-related mystery at its centre, a life-changing conversation that happens over a drink or relationships that are explored during an important meal.

As shortlisted entries will be published and displayed in The Oxford Collection hotels, we are interested in stories that can be picked up and enjoyed by a hotel guest.

Stories may have a maximum of 2,500 words not including the title and should not have been previously published anywhere.

Entries must be submitted in English.
