THE INDIAN COUNCIL FOR CULTURAL RELATIONS (ICCR)
SCHOLARSHIPS FOR BASOTHO 2025/26
Kindly note that the Government of the Republic of India, through the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), has opened the fully funded scholarships for 35 Basotho interested in studying in Indian Universities and Institutions for the year 2026/27, from 27 February to 15 April 2026.
This scholarship covers Undergraduate, Master’s, and PhD studies.
Application Process
The registration and submission of application forms must be made through the ICCR A2A Portal at the following address:
https://a2ascholarships.iccr.gov.in
Applications must be submitted within the stated timelines.
Scholarship Coverage
The ICCR scholarship includes:
- Full tuition fees
- Monthly stipend
- Insurance
- Accommodation
- A return air ticket
For science courses, expenditure on laboratory chemicals and other related incidental charges will be borne by the students.

Opening of A2A Portal for students to apply
27 February – 30 April 2026
Opening of A2A Portal for Universities to scrutinize applications and upload provisional admission confirmation for selection by the Indian Missions/Posts
27 February – 15 May 2026
Opening of A2A Portal for Indian Missions/Posts to initiate the selection process
16 May – 10 June 2026
Second round of selection by Indian Missions/Posts against any slots left vacant after the first round of selection
June – August 2026
Indicative timeframe for foreign students to join their courses, strictly according to the joining timeframe provided by the concerned University or Institution in the scholarship offer issued by the Indian Mission/Post
