Who may enter
The Edinburgh Award for Flash Fiction is open to writers worldwide and 16 years or over.

Details
The competition is organised by the Scottish Arts Club based in Edinburgh, Scotland.

Entries can be on any theme or subject but must be original and written in English. They must also be for adult readers. Non-fiction and fiction written for children under 14 years is not eligible. Illustrated stories are not eligible.

Maximum length is 250 words, title excluded.

Entries must not have been previously published in print or online, been broadcast or won a prize.

Judges: Zoë Strachan and Louise Welsh.

Entry fee
The entry fee is £7 per story.

Prizes
• First prize: £1,000
• Second prize: £300
• Third prize: £150

The top twenty stories will be published in the anthology.
