Who may enter
The competition is open to anyone aged 18 and over by the closing date of the competition.
Short description
The contest is organized by the Charles Causley Trust.

Entries must be in English.

Poems may be on any subject; 40 lines of text maximum, no minimum. All individual poems must have a title.

Entries must never have been published, self-published, published on any website or broadcast in any form nor currently entered in any other competition before 28 February 2022.

This year’s competition will be judged by Vahni Capildeo.


Entry fees
The first poem submitted costs £7.50. Subsequent entries in the same submission cost £5.50 per poem.
Prizes
• 1st prize: £2,000 plus a 1 week writing residency at Cyprus Well, Charles Causley’s former home in Launceston
• 2nd prize: £250
• 3rd prize: £100
• There will also be 5 Highly Commended Awards of £30 each.
