The Alpine Fellowship Foundation has opened application for 2020, for its Visual Arts Prize, open to all visual artists aged 18 and above.

The Prize is awarded for the best visual arts response to ‘Forgiveness and Retribution’ – the theme of the 2020 Alpine Fellowship Annual Symposium.

The winner will receive a £2,000 cash prize and a further £1,000 towards the artist’s travel, and the shipping and installation of their work at the symposium in Fjällnäs.

Runners up will be invited to attend the Fjällnäs symposium to exhibit their work — all food and accommodation covered.

All visual media is permitted including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, digital, and installation. Limited to one entry per person. Entries should include appropriate images or video and details of the work, including a short description of how the work is related to the theme of ‘Identity.’

The competition is open to all nationalities.

The Alpine Fellowship is a group of writers, thinkers and artists who are passionate about learning and communicating with a view to better understanding themselves and others. Every year writing, visual arts, and theatre prizes are awarded to the best works concerning the years’ theme.
