Working in a team of public debt specialists, economists, and IT professionals the consultant will be responsible for developing UI automation scripts for regression testing, to improve quality across the lifecycle.

The consultant will play a key role in the implementation of test automation strategies from the ground, as per agreed scope and specification. The consultant will develop automated UI regression test suites using the .NET NUnit framework/C#/Selenium WebDriver/Visual Studio and ensure that the tests are successfully executed on the framework.

We are looking to introduce UI automated testing into our Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines to increase test coverage, improve accuracy, detect defects early and ensure we deploy robust and high-quality software releases.

To be considered, you should have the following:

  • 5 years or more demonstrable experience of developing automated tests for web applications with NUnit/C#/Selenium WebDriver/Visual Studio;
  • Demonstrable experience of using Selenium Web Driver, Selenium Grid, Selenium Page Object Model and Page Factory concept with C#;
  • 5 years or more experience working in a software testing and QA role including integration, system, end-to-end and maintenance testing;
  • Demonstrable ability to develop, maintain and debug C# code;
  • Demonstrable understanding of HTML, XML, CSS, and browser DOM;
  • Experience developing automated test scripts for financial software products or similar enterprise products (e.g. banking, investments);
  • Degree in Computer Science or any other degree acceptable to the Secretariat with a major part relevant to computing;
  • Strong hands-on experience of writing SQL queries;
  • Excellent data analysis skills with strong experience of selecting tests and test data that are suitable for automation;
  • Hands-on experience designing, writing and executing maintainable test automation scripts for regression, smoke, sanity testing;
  • Experience in diagnosing configuration, data and regressions issues;
  • Understanding of the software development and testing lifecycle;
  • Good commercial understanding of Agile principles and practices;
  • Have a passion for quality, excellent attention to detail, technical, accuracy, analytical, verbal and written communication skills;
  • Ability to work independently and in a team, and deliver on time;
