THE PARLIAMENT OF LESOTHO (SENATE) HEREBY INVITES TENDERS FROM CONTRACTORS FOR THE SPECIALIST WORKS AT THE PROPOSED NEW SENATE BUILDING FOR THE PARLIAMENT OF LESOTHO.
CLOSING DATE: FRIDAY, 24 MAY, 2024
The Government of Lesotho has allocated funds in the financial year 2024/2025 and intends to use for construction of New Senate for the Parliament of Lesotho in Maseru.
1. INTERESTED COMPANIES MUST
a. Be operational regionally with good reputation and experience in the execution and completion of similar works and or magnitude as mentioned below.
b. Provide qualifications and work experience details of the key staff who shall be involved in the project execution.
c. Have had average annual financial turnover of M500 000.00 during the last three consecutive years ending 31st March 2024 the bidder should have a solvency of not less than M100, 000.00
d. Criminal & Ethical Standing:
• Must not have been debarred/blacklisted nationally/regionally and or internationally by any government/private institution in the last ten years and sanctions should not substantiate for last 5 years from the date of submission of this bid.
• Must not have been found guilty of any crime arising from the built environment industry.
A preference margin shall be granted in accordance with the Lesotho Procurement Act 2023
NB: Bidders are expected to be in complaint with their tax obligations. Bidders must attach to their bids, valid copies of income tax and VAT Clearances, Traders licenses.

Tender documents can be obtained from Parliament of Lesotho, Senate Procurement Unit at Kingsway Road, Maseru with effect from 3rd May 2024 on payment of Non-refundable deposit of an amount shown on the table above. Bidders should present the confirmation /proof of payment to the procurement offices to purchase bidding documents. The Government of Lesotho reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids and is not bound to accept any tender with lowest price.
3. SITE VISIT
A mandatory site visit and site walk is scheduled on the 07 May 2024; Time 10:00 Hrs. Tenderers must assemble at the gate of the New Lesotho parliament at 10:00am. BOX 553, TEL (+266) 22315338 ON OR BEFORE 1200HRS FRIDAY 24th May 2024 FOR PUBLIC OPENING AT 12:30HRS SAME DAY. SUBMISSION MUST BE 1(ONE) ORIGINAL AND 4(FOUR) COPIES.
NOTE: Note: if any information furnished by the bidder is found incorrect, such a bidder shall be disqualified the client reserves the rights to verify the particulars furnished by the bidder independently.

• The technical score carries 70% towards the final score, and financial score carries 30% weight
• Quality and Cost Based Selection (QCBS) to determine the financial score of the tender. The formula for QCBS :
