Invitation to Tender No: 3/QNDC/2026/2027
The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship (MoLGC) – Qacha’s Nek District Council has received funds from the Government of Lesotho and intends to apply these funds for the supply and delivery of construction materials for Qacha’s Nek District Council.
Eligible suppliers who own hardware businesses are invited to bid for a period of one year, renewable based on performance.
Registration of the Tender Document
Tender documents are available at the Qacha’s Nek District Council (Procurement Unit) upon payment of a non-refundable registration fee of M2,000 (Two Thousand Maloti Only).
Payment must be made at the Urban Council Accounts Office – Qacha’s Nek. Tender documents will be issued to potential bidders upon presentation of proof of payment (receipt) to the Procurement Unit.
Scope of the Project
Supply and delivery of construction materials.

- Gabions (2x1x1) – Quantity: 250
- Steel welded mesh (REF 193) – Quantity: 60
- Steel reinforcement bars (Y12) – Quantity: 2 tons
- Cement (42.5 N) – Quantity: 5000

- Tender Submission Date and Time: 10 July 2026 at 10:00 AM
- Tender Opening Date and Time: 10 July 2026 at 10:30 AM
- Evaluation: 13 July 2026

Failure to comply with these requirements will result in automatic disqualification.

- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate (certified at source)
- 2% bid security
- Company profile
- Certificate of Incorporation and Company Extract
- Completed and stamped (supplier’s stamp) Certificate of Bona fide
- Completed Tender/Commitment Form stamped (supplier’s stamp)

Tender Issuance and Submission
The issue date for this tender is 12 June 2026 and the closing date is 10 July 2026.
Original documents and three copies of the tender responses must be delivered to the tender box located in the Qacha’s Nek Urban Council Boardroom no later than 10:00 AM on 10 July 2026.
All tenders will be opened on the same date at 10:30 AM.
Sealed envelopes or packages bearing no identification of the bidder must be clearly marked:
“SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF CONSTRUCTION MATERIALS FOR QACHA’S NEK DISTRICT COUNCIL”.
Tender documents are available at the Qacha’s Nek District Council Procurement Office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of M2,000.00 (Two Thousand Maloti), payable at the Accounts Division of the Urban Council, Qacha’s Nek.
