Lerotholi Polytechnic invites suitably qualified, licensed, and experienced security service providers to submit sealed bids for the Provision of Comprehensive Security Guarding Services at its Maseru Campus and Matsieng Moshoeshoe II Campus.
The successful bidder will be responsible for providing professional security personnel and related security services to ensure the safety and security of students, staff, visitors, Polytechnic property, and assets.
The Polytechnic requires a robust security presence due to the nature of its operations as a tertiary institution with a large and diverse student population. Security personnel must be capable of managing incidents involving disorderly conduct, student unrest, unauthorized gatherings, conflicts, alcohol or substance-related incidents, and other situations that may threaten the safety of people and property.
The successful service provider must deploy suitably trained armed and unarmed security personnel with demonstrable experience in:
- Campus security.
- Conflict de-escalation.
- Crowd management.
- Access control.
- Emergency response.
- Lawful use of force where necessary.
Security personnel are expected to maintain a professional approach that emphasizes prevention, de-escalation, and compliance with applicable laws and Polytechnic policies.
Bid Documents:
Bidding documents are available from the Procurement Office upon payment of a non-refundable fee of M500.00 (Five Hundred Maloti Only).
Bid Security:
Bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security equivalent to 2% of the total bid price.
Mandatory Requirements:
All bidders must attach certified copies of:
- Valid Trader’s Licence.
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate.
- Certificate of Incorporation (where applicable).
- VAT Registration Certificate (where applicable).

Tender Submission:
Submit one (1) original and four (4) copies of the bid documents in a sealed envelope clearly marked:
“Tender No. LP/ADM/05/2026 – Provision of Security Services”
The envelope must bear no identification of the tenderer.
