Tender Title:
Private Vehicles Short-Term Hire for Bureau of Statistics – Population and Housing Census 2026
1. Introduction
The Ministry of Finance and Development Planning (MFDP), through the Bureau of Statistics (BOS), has been allocated funds by the Government of Lesotho (GOL) for the implementation of the 2026 Population and Housing Census Project. The Ministry intends to apply part of the budget funds for the hire of 370 (three hundred and seventy) Pick-Up Trucks for the 2026 Population Census.
The main purpose of the census is to provide government and other stakeholders with information pertaining to socio-economic and demographic characteristics of the population, as well as housing characteristics.
2. Availability of Bidding Documents
A complete set of bidding documents in English will be available to interested bidders upon payment of a non-refundable fee of LSL 1,000.00 (One Thousand Maloti only).

Bidding documents must be collected in person.
Clarification requests on bidding documents will be allowed up to 26 January 2026, during office hours between 09:30 am and 15:30 pm.
3. Submission of Bids
Bids must be deposited on or before 27 January 2026 at 12:00 hours in the tender box situated at:

Bids arriving after the closing date and time shall be rejected.
Tender opening will take place in the presence of bidders or their representatives on the same day at 14:30 hours.
A mandatory vehicle inspection is scheduled for 10–13 February 2026.
