RE-TENDER NOTICE
MAINTENANCE OF TWO (2) FOOTBRIDGES
- The Roads Directorate has received financing from the Government of the Kingdom of Lesotho and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contracts for two (2) footbridges.
- The Roads Directorate (RD) now re-invites tenders for maintenance of two (2) footbridges in the Thaba-Tseka and Mohale’s Hoek Districts as stated below:

- Tenderers with ongoing contracts with the Roads Directorate whose physical progress is less than 80% are not eligible to tender.
- The invitation is open to all Basotho contractors with category E3 to E1 under the Roads Directorate, who can demonstrate relevant capacity and experience in the construction and maintenance of footbridges and/or structural steel and reinforced concrete works.
- Sealed tenders comprising one (1) original, two (2) copies, and a soft copy (on a memory stick), clearly labelled as stated in the Instructions to Tenderers, must be submitted. Bidders may obtain further information from:

- Bidding documents in English may be purchased starting Tuesday, 26th August 2025, upon payment of a non-refundable fee of LSL 5,000.00 per project. Bidders may purchase multiple documents but no contractor will be awarded more than one contract.

- Bids must be delivered and deposited in the Tender Box at the address below on or before 10:00 hrs (local time) on Thursday, 25th September 2025. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened on the same day at 10:30 hrs in the presence of bidders’ representatives.
- All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security of LSL 5,000.00 in the form of a Bank Guaranteed Cheque addressed to Roads Directorate.
- Each bid must include certified copies of:
- Tax Clearance Certificate
- Trader’s License
All bids must include VAT and comply with Lesotho Government tax obligations.
- Site visits are scheduled from 4th to 8th September 2025 at the tenderers’ own cost. Attendance is mandatory and failure to attend will result in disqualification. A Pre-Tender Conference will be held on-site during the visit. Note: Individuals who previously attended the site may not attend again.
- The Roads Directorate reserves the right to accept or reject any or all tenders.
