Qacha’s Nek District Council
Invitation to Tender No: 2/QNDC/2026/2027
The Ministry of Local Government and Chieftainship (MoLGC) – Qacha’s Nek District Council has received funds from the Government of Lesotho and intends to apply these funds for the Maintenance and Repairs of Qacha’s Nek District Council Tipper Trucks.
Eligible suppliers who own motor garages are therefore invited to bid for a period of one year, renewable based on performance.
Registration of Tender Documents
Tender documents are available at the Qacha’s Nek District Council Procurement Unit upon payment of a non-refundable registration fee of M2,000.00 (Two Thousand Maloti Only), payable at the Urban Council Accounts Office – Qacha’s Nek.
Tender documents will be issued to prospective bidders upon presentation of the receipt from the Accounts Office to the District Council Procurement Unit.

Special Requirements
• A bid security of 2% of the bid price is required and must be drawn in favour of Qacha’s Nek District Council. The security must be issued by a bank or financial institution recognised by the Central Bank of Lesotho.
• The successful bidder will be required to provide a 10% performance guarantee before entering into a contract. The guarantee must be from a bank or institution recognised by the Central Bank of Lesotho.
Pre-Tender Meeting
A compulsory pre-bid meeting will be held on 2nd June 2026 at Qacha’s Nek District Council at 09:00 AM.
Site Visits
Site visits are compulsory and will be conducted on 2nd June 2026 after the pre-bid meeting.
Site visits shall be at the bidders’ own expense.

Failure to comply with these instructions will result in automatic disqualification.

Tender Issuance and Submission
The issue date for this tender is 22nd May 2026 and the closing date is 22nd June 2026.
Original documents together with three (3) copies of the tender responses must be delivered to the tender box situated at Qacha’s Nek Urban Council not later than 10:00 AM.
All tenders will be opened on 22nd June 2026 at 10:30 AM.
Sealed envelopes or packages bearing no identification of the bidder must be clearly marked:
“MAINTENANCE AND REPAIRS OF QACHA’S NEK DISTRICT COUNCIL TIPPER TRUCKS”
Tenders will be opened in the presence of bidders or their representatives.

The Council reserves the right to cancel the tender before submission or opening of tenders, postpone the tender submission/opening date, and accept or reject any or all tenders at any time prior to the award of contract without thereby incurring any liability to affected bidders or any obligation to inform affected bidders of the grounds for the Council’s action.
The Council is not bound to accept the lowest or any bid.
